What we found

We built a factory that generates entry x filter x exit x market x timeframe ideas and runs each through seven gates: minimum trades, coin-flip control, random-entry control, walk-forward, double costs, a look-ahead audit and a luck check that accounts for how many ideas were tried. Then one sealed test on the newest quarter of data. 14,336 ideas later: zero survivors. The best lead, a crowd-fade on crypto positioning, had 38 profitable near-copies and still failed its sealed test (0 of 3 pre-registered variants). Thirty-eight variations of one signal are one observation. The gates are the product; the survivors were never going to be.
